Residents of Kazameni and Kanyumbani Villages in Rabai Constituency, Kilifi County, joyfully celebrated the commissioning of the Kazameni B–Kanyumbani Rural Electrification Project by REREC. This project has connected 538 households to the national electricity grid, including two public facilities, Kanyumbani Dispensary and Kanyumbani Primary School, marking a significant milestone in the region’s development.
The commissioning ceremony was graced by the CS for Energy, Hon. Opiyo Wandayi, and the area MP, Hon. Mupe Anthony Kenga. Both leaders reaffirmed the government’s commitment to lighting up rural Kenya and empowering communities through expanded access to electricity.
